Projects About Contact

huge architects work with clients, planners and builders to achieve collaborative design and are always on the look out for new and interesting people and projects to work with. Founded in 2010, primarily to make DIY furniture from affordable and common materials, we found ourselves being constantly distracted by buildings and architectural work.

This website is a catalogue of huge architects projects and ideas - an introduction to our work and attitude.

Director Phil Owen (BA hons, BArch, ARB, RIBA) graduated from the University of Liverpool in 2000. He carried out his professional exams - the RIBA Part III qualification - with Brock Carmichael Architects, then one of the city's largest architectural practices. In total he went on to work for the company for 10 years. He played an integral role in the city's Liverpool One project, at the time the largest retail development in Europe, refurbishing the Stanley Building on Hanover Street (once the home of the iconic Planet X club) and the Eagle Building on Paradise Street (now forming part of Jamie Olivers Italian club). Phil has been a part-time design tutor at the University of Liverpool since 2012. Phil plays guitar & bass guitar and writes songs in his spare time. Originally from Shropshire he currently lives on the Wirral with his wife and family.
