To design a new outbuilding in the context of a rural village on the English/ Welsh border, we chose corrugated 'iron' as the cladding material to follow in the vernacular tradition of cladding outbuildings in less expensive materials than the main building. Our client out 'vernaculared' us and went for a cheaper material!!
