A georgian house in the Oxton Conservation Area with a cramped kitchen. The solution was to build out and fill in the gaps between the adjoining property and the existing rear outriggers. We wanted the extension to have a character of its own and so chose not to blend in with the existing. The old dining room becomes a snug, borrowing light from the new dining areas’ large rear window and a roof light over. The kitchen can now become the centre of family life.
